How Do You Sign Up for ObamaCare?

ObamaCare, also known as the Affordable Care Act, was a health care reform that helped people apply for medical insurance while limiting some of the issues that kept people from getting coverage. The changes make signing up pretty easy, but where can you sign up for ObamaCare?

The best way to sign up for the Affordable Care Act is through HealthCare.gov. This is a marketplace that will display all state and federal-based health insurance options while also helping you find any stipends that may be available based on your income level. This site makes it easy to get ObamaCare insurance based on your household income as well as avoiding penalties for not signing up before the deadline.

Some who live far below the poverty line may be eligible for Medicaid or CHIP (which is children’s Medicaid). Visiting Medicaid.gov can help you find out if you’re eligible, but you may also contact your local Department of Human Services location to find out if you can sign up for Medicaid or CHIP. The Healthcare Marketplace may also help you sign up for Medicaid by using your income as a guide.
