6 Most Inexpensive Honeymoon Destinations

Weddings are already expensive, and there’s no reason to go further into debt trying to pay for your honeymoon. If you’re looking for somewhere inexpensive to visit with your new spouse, try one of these six beautiful and amazing locations.

Florida Keys

Flying to the Caribbean can be expensive, but a visit to the Florida Keys gives you the same experience at half the cost. Flights to Miami are known to be less expensive and often are bargains if you can fly from other main cities like New York. Hotels may be a little on the pricey side at $150-$250 per night, but using a website like TripAdvisor can help you find deals on rooms that are usually hundreds of dollars a night. Enjoy the beach, the sun, and great food without leaving the country!

Dublin, Ireland

If you just have the itch to get out of the United States, Dublin is a beautiful option. The Emerald Isle has a lot to offer in cheap or free sights such as the National Gallery of Ireland, Dublin Castle, and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. After the flight, the most you’ll spend is your hotel room, but you'll be happy to know that the food and transportation costs are pretty low -- the average hotel cost in Dublin is around $200. If you plan on staying a while, consider renting an apartment to lower the costs even more.

Corniglia, Cinque Terre, Italy

If Venice is at the top of your list of places to visit, consider visiting Cinque Terre instead. This beautiful spot is incredibly cheap and offers the same charm you’d find in Venice without the crowd. Corniglia offers the quietest locale of the five Italian towns, and every room has a spectacular view of the sea. A hotel can cost anywhere from $100 to $200 per night. Plus, each town is easy to travel to with a cheap train ticket.

Scottsdale, Arizona

Arizona has some dramatic landscapes that will take your breath away. The weather is sunny and perfect, so it makes sense to visit this gorgeous place on your honeymoon. Plus, the Four Seasons Resort has rooms that can cost you as low as $249 per night. Couples can book a massage or stargaze. Off the resort, you and your new spouse can hike, shop, or enjoy any one of the delicious restaurants in the area.

Jamaica

This enchanting island has culture, food, and amazing experiences that are relatively cheap. For a daily cost of around $130, you can visit this Caribbean island on your honeymoon. There are plenty of sights to visit such as Doctor’s Cave Beach, Coyaba Gardens, Brimmer Hall Estate, and Prospect Plantation. You don’t have to stay at a resort to enjoy yourself. However, if a resort is what you have in mind, you can book all inclusive resorts for around $300 per night.

Guanica, Puerto Rico

The white-sandy beaches of Puerto Rico call to you, which is great since some resorts cost only around $185 per night. Be sure to venture away from the beaches, though, or you’ll miss some fantastic sites like the Finca De Girasoles and the Guanica Lighthouse. If you do choose to stay on the beach, you can rent a boat, enjoy some water fun, or even take scuba diving classes to see some under-the-sea wildlife.
