Best Luxury SUVs of 2016

A luxury SUV combines the appeal of a sporty, versatile vehicle with the sophistication of a high-end sedan. These five luxury SUVs are going to be the stars of 2016, so here’s a glimpse into why they’re grabbing so much attention already.

1. Lincoln MKT

This highly sophisticated mid-size SUV pulls out all the stops when it comes to luxury and passenger comfort. With third-row seating, you can easily fit seven people in this vehicle, and the MKT also boasts a second-row refrigerated console, heated steering wheel, heated and cooled first and second row seats, and a THX Certified audio system. This car starts at the relatively low price of $43,000, and an additional plus is that unlike many SUVs, it still maintains a reasonable average MPG of 16 city and 23 highway.

2. Audi Q7

The Audi Q7 maintains an aura of both fierceness and elegance with its strong exterior lines and stylish interior. One of the biggest draws of this car is its adaptive cruise control system with traffic-jam assistance that can autonomously accelerate, brake, and steer the vehicle at speeds lower than 40 mph. This car starts at around $48,000, and you get an automated garage-door-opening system, a rain and light sensor, and automatic windshield wipers and headlights for your convenience and safety.

3. Mercedes-Benz GLE Class

Formerly known as the M Class, this SUV is one of the most attractive on the market. It has softer exterior lines, polished wood trim on the inside, and an adjustable 8-inch touchscreen on the dash. It does not lack in features, coming with the innovative Collision Prevention Assist Plus, which can autonomously brake to avoid an accident. This SUV, starting at $51,000, also has a hybrid option, and you can drive the car for 18 miles on electric power alone.

4. Lexus RX

The Lexus RX is the epitome of elegance in the luxury SUV world. It has a highly streamlined exterior with a variety of bold colors and dark graphite alloy wheels. The interior is equally as sophisticated with a leather- and wood-trimmed interior, voice-activated climate control and entertainment, and an extendable driver’s seat for maximum comfort. This vehicle starts at around $41,000, but you also have the option of buying the RX Hybrid for $48,000.

5. Porsche Cayenne

Porsche is known for being at the height of luxury, and the Cayenne SUV certainly lives up to that reputation. This vehicle does start at $58,000 for the basic model, but if you want it all, the Cayenne has it. It has an absolutely stunning mocha-and-tan interior, complete with hand-polished wood and leather trim, and the exterior will have all eyes on you with its sporty front and flashy 18-inch wheels. The Cayenne also features the highly coveted Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Change Assist, Lane Departure Warning, ParkAssist, and an alarm system with surveillance to keep both you and your car as safe as possible.
