Taking your family on vacation can be really expensive, but there are plenty of ways to enjoy a getaway with your family without breaking the bank. Whether you’re travelling abroad or staying within the United States, here are the seven cheapest places to spend your vacation.

Yellowstone, Wyoming

With its multicolored pools, geysers, wildlife, and dramatic peaks, Yellowstone has it all. Bringing your family to this national park is not only inexpensive but incredibly fun. Your family can enjoy hiking, skiing, boating, and so much more. If you consider camping, the trip will be even less expensive and potentially more awe-inspiring. Nightly fees for camping cost between $15 and $48 depending on where you want to camp. If hotels are more your style, you can grab a room for you and your family starting at $130 per night.

Nashville, Tennessee

Nashville is the birthplace of many great artists like Hank Williams and Johnny Cash, but it’s also where popular artists like Keith Urban and Taylor Swift frequent. No matter where you are in this city, you can experience history and culture in ways you never thought possible. Hotels downtown are notoriously cheap, starting at around $117. Savannah, Georgia

New Orleans, Louisiana

Cartagena, Colombia

If Rio de Janeiro is the city of your fantasies and you’ve always wanted to share it with your family, Cartagena is the perfect city for you. This town has picturesque beaches, beautiful architecture, and a great carnival nearby in Barranquilla. It’s free to wander around Cartagena’s historic district and take in the culture from its well preserved centuries-old fortified walls.
