Lehrer was a celebrated journalist, yes, but he also found success as a novelist, screenwriter, and playwright. During his career, he won thirteen various honors and awards, including the Peabody Award and two Primetime Emmys. Unfortunately, Lehrer passed away from a sudden heart attack in early 2020 at his home.

Although Brian Williams makes much less per year — bringing in about $6 million annually — than big-name journalist Lester Holt, Williams's net worth is much higher at $50 million. Williams is the chief anchor of MSNBC and the host of MSNBC’s hit segment The 11th Hour with Brian Williams.

Williams started his journalism career with NBC back in 1993 as a reporter for the Nightly News and was promoted to anchor and managing editor in 2004. Despite a few slip-ups and demotions resulting from his false coverage of events during the Iraq War in 2003, he continued to succeed in the political coverage. Williams retired from MSNBC and journalism in December 2021 after 28 years with the network.
